Saw Lake Titicaca mentioned in an article yesterday.
Was a time it was fun getting a teacher to say "Lake Titicaca" several times.
JUvenile laughter ensued.
"She said "Titicaca"!" (Still works for Zoiker I'm sure)

Almost as much fun as getting " Will Mike Hunt report to the office" over the PA in high school.
Which became "Has anyone seen Mike Hunt???"
Good times.

So the boys turned on the quarterfinal match between Portugal and France with their respective stars, Ronaldo and Mbappe. Score us 0-0 in Extra Time. Have to admit it’s a little tense and exciting.

Anybody have a list of tailgating must haves that maybe others don't have.

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior defensive back Beau Freyler is a nominee for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy and Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, a pair of awards recognizing players for their performance on the field as well as their impact in the community.

Freyler, a Colorado Springs, Colorado, native, has been a significant contributor to the Cyclone football program since first stepping on campus in 2021. He was a co-captain in 2023 and earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors from the Associated Press after compiling 107 tackles and three interceptions. He became the 10th player in program history to earn Academic All-America honors.

Freyler has made 25 career starts, including 22 consecutive, and played in 37 games.

At Iowa State’s annual O.S.C.A.R.S. celebration, Freyler took home the Cyclone Serve Award, presented to the male and female athletes with the most community hours served during the 2023-24 academic year.

Well for a guy who can't carry a note but loves to sing, I feel pretty good about myself right now.

I read on X this morning that Coach Fennelly and two others werr heading out on the recruiting trail today and listed three different states they were going to. A while later I heard a jet departing the Ames Airport. Made me wonder if it was Fennelly. Does the university own a small passenger jet?

Now that we've moved past that, politics are once again 100-percent fair game.

There are two still photos that are candidates for Pulitzer prizes. They both show Trump being escorted from the stage by Secret Service agents, blood on his face and his fist in the air, with the American flag in the background. Really stunning images.

I watched MSNBC last night. They showed the photos several times......but the flag was missing. Which, of course, dramatically changes the photo. Either the flag was photo-shopped out or the photo was cropped to eliminate it.

This cannot be accidental.
