It finally happened to me, hawked

I'll admit I've never really been of a fan of these types of posts because they always seemed to have a Penthouse Letters sort of feel to them but today I got to experience my first nonconsensual hawkeye asshat encounter.

I went for a bike ride around town with my two boys and the bike trail winds around behind several local restaurants. As we passed by one I noticed a group of 4 middle-aged guys decked out in hawkeye gear sitting on the patio. We passed by with zero interaction and I'll note that I was not wearing anything Cyclone related. On our way back as we pass by the patio again here comes a handful of french fries thrown by one of hawkeye douchebags at my kids and I. They all missed and scattered onto the bike trail. I was stunned and blurted out "you throw like a hawkeye!" before I was out of sight down the trail. What kind of grown man just throws food at a dad and his kids on the bike trail for no reason? Had the boys not been there I probably would have turned around and had some more choice words.

FOOTBALL ***2025 NFL Draft catch-all thread***

Heard on the Herd (Colin) at lunch the Jets are shopping Breece around. They said there was a post on the internet with Breece crossing his fingers :) If true I hope the Bears pick him up. Talk of the Bears trying to get Gentry but I'd rather use the pick for some other position. I don't understand why Gentry is thought of so much more than Skattebo. He looks good on film but they both do and Gentry plays against a much weaker schedule. Look what Skattebo did against Iowa State and then in the CFP game against Texas.

Hope one of our guys slips into round 1. Probably not but I've heard nothing but good reports on Noel and Higgins. Not as much on Porter but what I have has been very positive.

#1 FB recruit picks the U

I figured it would be Oregon because of Nike, track strength and one of the money conferences. Guess Miami had significant cash. Graduating next January, so this spring is his last chance to reset all his HS shot and discus records.

Just now realizing how many youngsters we have on the OL

Aside from the five probable starters and four probable backups, we have a buttload of true freshmen and redshirt freshmen on the OL. I count 8 underclassmen in that group. There would have been 10 had the Helton twins not jumped ship. There are only two sophomores and two juniors in the first 9 I mentioned as well. The other five are seniors. I just didn't realize we were that young.

Christian Wiggins

I've seen Christian Wiggins the last 2 weekends play for D1 Minnesota and since he's an ISU bball commit for 2026, I thought I'd share this interesting story. First off, he plays on a really good D1 Minnesota team that has several D1 prospects on it, including Jadyn Coon from Storm Lake who I like too. Wiggins looks the part and I hope he stays committed to ISU. Anyway, his team was playing in a "showcase" game on Sat night up at Eden Prairie HS. My son's AAU team was playing on the same court immediately after D1 Minnesota's game. D1 was playing RWE (Rod Wave's team) who apparently has a huge social media following. They literally had 2000 plus fans at this Sat. night game. Fans were pretty much spilling onto the court and they were definitely over fire code capacity. Only 2 mins into the 2nd half, a fight in the crowd broke out. It was a good game and I think D1 was either up or down by a point when the fight started. Prep hoops, who was running the tourney, had a staffer who took a swing at what appeared to be a teenager in the stands near the court. Guys were tackled and it carried on for only a few mins. Dozens of cops had to come onto the scene and they ended up canceling the game and vacating the HS. My son's game and any other later games were canceled. My son's team wasn't even able to be in the gym (who were waiting to play next) as it was over capacity and they were being kept in a classroom in the HS. They ended up having to be escorted out by police to get out of the crowd. The story was on the local news up there on Sat night. I wasn't at the gym yet, rather at a nearby restaurant having a drink, waiting for this game to get over. We saw all of the cop cars go flying by the restaurant on their way to the HS. I've never seen anything like it!

Can Trump issue 75,0000,000 preemptive pardons via autopen?

Since Biden pardoned his friends with autopen, can Trump now issue preemptive pardons to anyone that voted for him? Literally pay people with preemptive pardons for anything, just for voting for him? Biden has set the precedent by issuing over 8,000 pardons via autopen, that he did not even look at. If Biden gets to pardon his "friends", then why not have all presidents give preemptive pardons via autopen for their "friends" / voters.
