***RELEASE: CBS Sports And Big 12 Expand Partnership With Multi-Year Agreement For Additional Men's Basketball Games***

Big 12 Media Relations

CBS Sports and the Big 12 Conference have expanded their partnership by significantly increasing the number of Big 12 men’s college basketball games across the Network’s platforms. The multi-year deal, which runs through the 2026-27 season, is through a sublicense agreement with ESPN.

As part of its extensive regular-season schedule, CBS Sports already broadcasts a minimum of six Big 12 men’s college basketball games annually on CBS, with those games streaming live on Paramount+. This new agreement adds 20 games per year to air on CBS Sports Network to bring the total number of Big 12 men’s basketball games to at least 26 per season across CBS Sports platforms.

“CBS Sports continues to be the home for big-time college basketball and we are excited to expand our long-standing relationship with the Big 12,” said Dan Weinberg, Executive Vice President, Programming, CBS Sports. “The Big 12 is one of the nation’s signature basketball conferences with marquee schools, student-athletes and coaches along with a rich history in the sport. This is a tremendous opportunity to add 20 high-quality games from a premier conference to our schedule and we are thrilled to increase the number of Big 12 basketball games across our CBS Sports platforms.”

“Growing our presence on CBS Sports will deliver Big 12 basketball to even more fans across the country,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “The additional nationally televised games will continue to grow our brand as the best conference in college basketball and showcase the elite student-athletes and programs from our 16 institutions.”

CBS Sports will begin its 44th consecutive season presenting college basketball this fall with approximately 300 regular-season games across CBS and Paramount+, as well as CBS Sports Network, including 15 automatic bids to the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Tournaments. CBS Sports has been the broadcast home of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament since 1982, including a partnership with TNT Sports since 2012.

Josh Pate's college football show

If there was ever any doubt that Pate is an Iowa State fan, this should remove all doubt. He saved the best for last on his latest show, the Iowa-Iowa State game. It starts at about the 1:15 mark.

Also, I was listening to a podcast by some Ioway ANALysts who were surprisingly complimentary to Iowa State, but who found themselves wondering if they shouldn't have given their backup QB a shot, especially since the starter couldn't even reach the end zone on the Hail Mary. And then they were incensed that Freerents said in his post game show that they were waiting for McNamara to get into game shape when they have another division 1 proven QB (Sullivan, the Northwestern transfer) sitting on the bench. This is after last week's podcast, where the headline was "Does Iowa have an offense?" or something similar. How quickly things changed in a week.

Stacy’s daughter’s got it going on!

Get you mind out of the gutter! Stacy Frese Huber’s daughter Sydney is not only a basketball player, but setter for Mt. Vernon’s #1 ranked VB team. She is at or near the top of the state leaderboard in assists. Of course it helps having Louisville recruit Chloe Meester to set.

Apparently she’s not on BF’s radar anymore. Perhaps she should be on CJL’s?

A couple things.

We made a big move the last couple years.
Because of approach.

A lot is OC and some Rocco.
Nate included.
We now go for the jugular. The go the distance play.
We were scared to so many years.

New RB coach gets kudos.
Or whoever brought what Walters calls the Triple I.
Got our QB under center and make short yardage runs.
No messing around.

Display our dominance.
Secure their submission.

Not many want to mess with us.

Again, we are better than Meechegan.
Scream it from the rooftops.
