Reasonable statement?

I said on twitter that there were probably 1000 high school boys who were better basketball players than Caitln Clark. The hokverse erupts. NAME THEM! I pointed out that a HS boys soccer team had defeated the US Women's team in a match, and that there were roughly 800 boys nominated to the McDonalds All American team. Indignation among the hokeye faithful. I said she is good for a girl and there no doubt, but that she couldn't compete against males. Am I wrong?

Trump is revealing the character of Democrats.

And it disgusting. This is the best thing about Trump, he is forcing Democrats to reveal their true character, and they are absolutely disgusting horrible people. They are spinning this as Iowans are horrible racist white supremist who are Christian. This country is never coming together, because liberals absolutely hate normal people. The country has split between sane people and completely insane people (DEMOCRATS).

Maybe Democrats should ask the question, why is my party no letting me vote for someone with a pulse. Instead, you have a true dictator in charge (Obama).

FOOTBALL ***RELEASE: Cyclones add WR Isaiah Alston***

Iowa State Media Relations

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State football program has added transfer wide receiver Isaiah Alston to its roster starting this spring. Alston spent the previous four seasons playing for Army West Point and still has two years of eligibility remaining.

The redshirt junior from Carteret, New Jersey, played in just four games in 2023 before an injury cut short his season. He averaged 29.6 yards per reception. In 2021 and 2022, Alston finished with a total of 38 receptions for 718 yards and four touchdowns while playing in the Black Knights’ run-first offense.

He had 22 receptions in 2021, one of just four Army pass catchers since 2010 to eclipse 20 receptions in a single season.

In total, Alston played in 27 career games, finishing with 49 receptions for 1,031 yards and six touchdowns.

He adds another weapon for the Cyclone offense, which returns its top four pass catchers from the 2023 season.

Interesting Article on Earle’s Firing from tOSU

I was googling for the time Earle asked the student body to try out for kicker. This well written story came up. I didn’t realize that Earle turned down KU after his firing in Columbus. He got a decent buy out for the time, nearly a half million. He got fired for having one 6-4-1 season, and not being a good politician and ass kisser of the well to do and powerful. McCoulloch‘s comment that ISU going 8-3, 8-3, 8-3 is like NW winning the Big Ten is total bullshit on Lou’s part. NW was horrible then and Johnny Majors left ISU in decent shape.

FOOTBALL ***RELEASE: Cooper Tabbed Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week***

Iowa State Media Relations

AMES, Iowa – Jeremiah Cooper has been named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. It is the first Big 12 weekly honor of Cooper's career.

Cooper was integral in Iowa State's season-opening 30-9 victory over Northern Iowa Saturday. He grabbed a pair of interceptions in the game, including a pick six on UNI's first drive for ISU's first points of the season.

The sophomore defensive back became the first Iowa State defender with two interceptions in a game since Marcel Spears against Texas Tech in 2018 and the first Cyclone with two takeaways since O'Rien Vance in the 2020 Fiesta Bowl. With one Week 1 game remaining Monday night, Cooper is one of seven players nationally with at least two interceptions in a game this season.

Cooper jumped a five-yard out route to grab his first-career interception and returned it 58 yards for a touchdown. Cooper's second interception set up a 56-yard field goal for the Cyclones at the end of the first half.

The El Paso, Texas native finished the game with four tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss in addition to his two takeaways.

Iowa State football is back in action Saturday, Sept. 9 at 2:30 p.m. when it hosts Iowa in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series. The game will be aired live on FOX.
