My daughter (only child) and hubs gifted me with the birth of a Grandson this morning! Their first child. Beau checked in at 9.1 pounds and 19.5 inches. That makes him already 28.5% of my height at birth! He also already has more hair than I do😂 His Dad is 6' 4" so I guess we know where those genes come from! I am going to see him tomorrow and I cannot wait to hold him!

Tomorrow I will begin the discussion with Dad as to whether we're going to focus on PF, DE, LB, TE or QB And he will be a CYCLONE👍 I raised my daughter correctly😊 SIL is a Clone too.

I just got an email that they are selling pieces of the Hilton Court starting Monday. Based on what I read, this court was used 2020-2023. It got me wondering, how long do basketball courts last?? Seems like a pretty short period of time. Were there issues with the playing surface? It's not like it gets used a lot. Just wondering.

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head men's basketball coach T.J. Otzelberger has announced the plans to redshirt a pair of freshmen for the 2023-24 season. JT Rock and Jelani Hamilton will sit out their initial year in Ames.

"After discussion with Jelani and JT, we have decided that it's in their best long-term interest to redshirt this season," Otzelberger said. "Player development is at the forefront in everything that we do in our program and that will serve Jelani and JT well this season."

Rock, the youngest player on an NCAA Division I men's basketball roster this season, reclassified and enrolled a year early at Iowa State. The Sioux Falls, S.D. native was a four-star recruit and ranked in the top 100 by all three national outlets.

Hamilton, a four-star recruit from Marietta, Ga., was ranked No. 111 in the country by Rivals.
