I’m taking my 7-year-old and 9-year-old boys to their first game at Jack Trice this weekend! They have been talking about it all week. Should be perfect weather, a great atmosphere, playing to stay in 1st place in the Big 12 - should be a blast!

Who does one talk to or contact about a potential football recruit that prefers ISU over the other local Big 10 and Big 12 that are currently asking him for visits?

I'm trying to get a reading on what's going on with the battle for the Speaker of the House. Is this a battle of the ultra conservatives against Moderate Republicans? I haven't kept track of all of the candidates, but it seems the hard right is trying to take complete control of the party. Big mistake if that's the case. What ever happened to the Moderate Republicans? A group calling itself Moderate Republicans defines itself as those who believe in constitutional principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility, but not the social agenda of the far-right. That sounds like a party I could support, not the current one that has me running further and further away.

I am registered as an Independent and have a lot of problems with the Democrats, but this new far right Republican Party is one I can't support. They have gone too far pushing their far-right agenda. I hate what has happened in the state legislature once they got control. I thought Reynolds did a good job navigating us through Covid, but since the last election she has lost me. The entire party has lost me. I can't wait to vote them all out. They don't represent me.

Apologies, I know that this topic has been gone over repeatedly. I purchased a grass lot parking pass for an out-of-state friend coming to the game tomorrow. And I am unable to transfer the parking pass to him. I transferred his ticket to him, but now the parking pass transfer button is grayed out. I need an ironclad, 100% certain response to this question. Is he able to use a screenshot of the parking pass barcode to get into the grass lots? I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on this forum for their contribution they have had in my life on a daily basis. I have had some health and addiction issues which have greatly impacted my life recently. This board has consistently been a bright spot in my life and I am am very thankful to get the opportunity to interact with you all.

I know this probably sounds like I’m going to die soon but that not the case(at least I think). I was just counting my blessings this morning and wanted to express my appreciation for you all. Whether I agree or disagree with you, this is a great community. Keep sharing you opinions regardless if they maybe popular or not. Go Clones!!

I just saw an old news story on Dylan Lee, our RB commit from Gilbert AZ. The story was about how he broke Arizona's 6A single game rushing record. This was in a game last year. He rushed for 518 yards and 5 TDs on just 24 carries. Four of his five TDs were from 50 yards out or farther. He had runs of 55, 81, 85 and 95.

The reason I was even looking him up was because of another article I read on another site where someone is evaluating the players in ISU's 2024 recruiting class. The evaluator said Lee's running style reminds him of Gale Sayers, but without the same speed. He said Lee cuts at full speed like no other back he's seen at Iowa State or any back Iowa State has recruited, but maybe doesn't have the top end speed you would like. So I was wondering what his speed was and tried to look up any track and field times. But he apparently doesn't run track. I found the other article instead.

TCU lost to Texas Tech tonight and has fallen to 4-5. Worse yet, they have both OU and UT remaining on their schedule.

We were disappointed when we stumbled in ‘21 following a strong season, but TCU looks much worse. Almost everything went right for them last year. They lost a lot of quality talent but no one expected this kind of a year for them.

My daughter (only child) and hubs gifted me with the birth of a Grandson this morning! Their first child. Beau checked in at 9.1 pounds and 19.5 inches. That makes him already 28.5% of my height at birth! He also already has more hair than I do😂 His Dad is 6' 4" so I guess we know where those genes come from! I am going to see him tomorrow and I cannot wait to hold him!

Tomorrow I will begin the discussion with Dad as to whether we're going to focus on PF, DE, LB, TE or QB And he will be a CYCLONE👍 I raised my daughter correctly😊 SIL is a Clone too.

I know most of you all have likely been thru this before, but I am simply over-the-top with my "little girl" becoming a new Mom! All I can say is Praise God🙏
