The Big 10 and SEC Comissioners are set to meet next week and one topic is a scheduling agreement. If that happens it give the Hawks an out from playing us, which they would like. Big 12 and ACC left out. I’d like to see the Big 12 and ACC do the same.

This list assumes that all games are independent of playing each other, which they are not. A win by one team is aways associated with a loss to another. We just don't know who yet.

As you can see there are nine teams that statistically have a chance to at least tie for a piece of the regular season title with a final record of 6-3.

There are seven teams that still have a chance at 7-2 (or better).

There are two teams that still have a chance of going undefeated.

Note that this list does not follow the order of current power rankings due to current win/loss record and remaining strength of schedule. Strength of schedule, especially who plays whom home vs. away...is huge.

The order of this list will change as the season moves forward. Probably a lot.

The teams with the best undefeated conference resume against the strength of schedule so far are....Arizona, Colorado, BYU.

Cincy has the worst undefeated conference resume, followed by Iowa State.

Alabama and Georgia had 1066 yards of offensive production. Now this is being touted as one of the all-time great games??????? Something seems a little off.

The latest after another very big weekend:

Received a mailing from Iowa State saying RV lots open at 10 on Saturday is that all lots.

My wife and I are in Duluth and went in to St Benedict’s for a drink. I had on a pull over with a small logo on it and sure enough a guy walking in has the need to yell go Hawks.. That has happened to us in Florida, Utah and numerous other states when we’ve traveled. I’ve never had anyone yell go KU or K State or any other school that Iowa. What is the matter with those people?

Myles Purchase’s brother got some playing time last year as a linebacker but not seeing the field this year. I’m not sure if he’s injured or what? Shows him as a second man in but has no stats this year.

Really wish he would have followed in his brother’s footsteps.

Any word on this guy? I apologize if you covered and I missed it.

Bruns's comments towards the end were great, and some thought provoking. His love for Coach Mac, and his respect for CMC were appearant. His insight into the way grading works was interesting as well. I don't know if it referred to PFF or what.
