2024 Indiana OT adds Iowa State offer, eyes trip to Ames

So I watched the whole Yankee game through the top of the 9th…then dozed off with them leading 5-3.

I woke up to a bunch of yelling on TV, and through sleepy eyes saw Cleveland players running round on the field and thought the network was showing some old footage from some previous game.

Then I watched some more and found out I missed Cleveland hitting 5 straight singles to win.

I posted on here a few weeks ago how the Yankees needed more "singles" hitters. Hmmmmm.......

To be fair, the Yankee bullpen, a strength through July, is ravaged with Tommy John surgeries (4) and other injuries. In June, they more easily close out this game.

And I'm not going to miss seeing reliever Chapman get cut after the season. You never knew if he was going to give you 3 walks or 3 strikeouts.

I just realized this and it may have been discussed here before, but 247 believes that Biliew and Momcilovic are the first and third best recruits ever for Iowa State. Biliew shot past Craig Brackins as the best ever. Brackins edged out Momcilovic for second place by just .0006 points. Four through nine are Lindell Wigginton, Tyrese Hunter, THT, Matt Thomas, Georges Niang and Rahshon Clark

I made a sausage and cheese tortellini soup for supper tonight. I browned two pounds of Italian sausage, 1 package sweet, one hot, in a large dutch oven, then added some onion. I next put in a small can of tomato paste, followed by powdered thyme and oregano, a couple of teaspoons of minced garlic, ground pepper, and some red pepper flakes. Then added a large can of fire roasted diced tomatoes, 4 cups of vegetable broth, 2 cups of beef broth , a chopped up red bell pepper and the cheese tortellini and let it simmer for a while before I added the final ingredients just before serving, some baby spinach and some fresh Italian parsley. Very good stuff. The recipe actually called for fresh kale instead of spinach, but I couldn't find any kale.

What is it going to take to get our running game going? Getting Brock & Norton back to 100% will help, but that may not be enough. Do we need to get creative with our plays or play calling? Spead things out or use two tight ends as blockers? Employ a different blocking scheme? Use QB runs? Screen passes? Misdirection?

I don't know what needs to happen, but without a running game its going to be difficult winning games. We need to do whatever it takes to get that part of our offense going.
