Some thoughts

1. Pretty sure I've never seen a player pass up an uncontested, breakaway layup for a three attempt in the middle of the game. Oh...and they lost by two....corrected: 4
2. Grill? Huevos el grande!
3. Great, great games by Holmes & Kalscheur.
4. Good floor game game by Tamin...teams are sagging off him now. Gotta add shooting threat for next year.
5. Ossuniyi "no arc" free throws were obviously clutch.
6. Watson has a bright future....looks like a freshman when on D.
7. Jones? Yeesh
8. KSU fan hatred of ISU is both odd and funny. The Cyclones getting picked for Orlando & ND while the Widlcats got shuffled off to Memphis & Army might have permanently broken them.
9. That one ref was utterly useless. Things happened right in front of him and the other refs had to blow their whistles. Hopefully the Big 12 stopped payment on his check for this game.
10. Great game, great win

ISU up to 9 on NET.

ISU moves up on spot to 9 on Net.

UT 8
ISU 9
KU 10
TCU 13
BU 14
KSU 17

That is called domination at the top of NET. Purdue is #1 and then nobody from the Tiny 10. Tiny 10 fans always want to point out Purdue has 7 Quad wins, big deal. KU has 7, ISU, UT, BU have 6, KSU, TCU have 5. By the time the season ends, would not doubt that all 6 teams surpass every tiny 10 team on Quad 1 wins.

Here is a good joke, talked to a tiny 10 guy about how bad Iowa has become, and he said it probably is do to the tiny 10 being the best league. They truly are delusional in the tiny 10.

After the game 30 for 30

I left the tv on and got sucked into watching a 30 for 30 on Paul Westhead and Loyola Marymount.

George Raveling’s first genius move when he went to USC from EIU was to not renew Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble’s scholarships.

Apparently he couldn’t even remember their names when talking to them. He also notified players by letter that their scholarships weren’t being renewed. Never talked to them about it.

Before he died, Gathers was leading the country in both points and rebounds per game.

Amazing that Raveling put together a roster loaded with future NBA players at EIU. Although they sucked under his coaching.
