Bad, Bad Loss

Outhustled, outplayed, outsmarted, outclassed and just a bad loss. Those last 10 minutes and overtime could not have been played any worse. Started with lazy play and passes, then panic, then missed shots and lack of hustle and then......a bad loss. Hopefully this is a blip and they can shake it off. No way or reason they should lose up 23.

NFL football

I watched the majority of both games yesterday. Not sure why. My team wasn't playing. I am not a big fan of the NFL. Mostly because it is pretty boring, overall.

The players are so good, so big, so strong, and so fast, the plays all involve fouls which could be called every play. But mostly it is boring because there is very little football being played. Most NFL games have about 120 plays. If you allow an average of 10 seconds per play, that is 1200 seconds or 20 minutes of football. In a 3 and a half hour time frame that leaves a whole lot of boring. At a 150-160 plays CFB is only marginally better.

7 plus hours yesterday to see 35-40 minutes of playing time.

1st half vs 2nd half

Obviously, we were gassed on offense and defense in the 2nd half. It's very hard to play tight defense when everything you have done all year is now a foul. On offense in the first half we were moving the ball from side to side and cutting hard to the basket. Almost everyone touched the ball before a good shot was found. In the second half we dribbled out front until they stole it or we were down to 5 seconds and then we tried to do something we are not good at.

Press release NIL deal announced for referees

Press Release:

The West Texas Foundation (WTF) is happy to announce that the referees involved in the TT vs ISU game last night have been awarded 5 figure cash NIL payments for their excellent performance calling 20 fouls on ISU the last 10 minutes of the second half.

Dave Dewey, Charlie Cheatem, and Howey Howe were the first referees know to have an NIL deal to date. Howey heard CTJO say "WTF" with about 10 minutes left. Howe said "I remembered the cash and reminded the other guys about the WTF deal."

Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe are expected to referee the KU vs ISU game in Ames next Saturday.

B12 Supervisor of Officials, Curtis (Blarge) Shaw said "This is a long time coming. Glad Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe are cashing in! I had to be satisfied with only the personal satisfaction of screwing ISU out of a National Championship." Blarge continued "Everybody thinks this was about Texas Tech, but the B12 officials always know the goal is to help KU win the conference EVERY YEAR! We could not allow ISU to be in 1st place in the conference even at the mid-point of the season."

In other news the Larryville Official Largess (LOL) has started raising funds for NIL funds for B12 referees.
