AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis program finished the season ranked No. 8 in the final Division I ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point.

The rankings is the highest for the Cyclones to end a season in program history.

Iowa State, under the direction of fifth-year head coach Boomer Saia, completed the most storied season in school history, finishing 21-6 overall and advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tennis Tournament.

The Cyclones posted a program-best 7-2 record in Big 12 play and advanced to the semifinals of the ITA National Indoor Championships, defeating then-No. 9 Vanderbilt and top-ranked Texas at the tournament.

The win over the Longhorns was Iowa State’s first-ever against UT, while the Cyclones also beat Oklahoma State for the first time in 2023.

ISU finished the season 12-6 against Top-50 schools this season.

Arizona AD comments tonight seem to indicate that are leaving the Pac 12, that they are looking forward to new landscape with new opportunities.

Multiple sources reporting that the 90M deal from ESPN is out. So the only media deal the PAC 12 has at this point is the 5M each school owes Comcast. That is a -5M per team in the league, that must be repaid before they can sign another media deal, which they don't have any media deal.

People still think they will stick together as a conference?

What is worse for all the other conferences, will ESPN or Disney even be around when the next media deals have to be negotiated.

I have been trying to figure out the Tax Credit, and to be blunt, it looks like anyone with a normal income after 65, will get nothing in terms of the new Property Tax Credit for Seniors that was just passed. There seem to be income cutoffs, and I don't see how 90% of retirees can even qualify for a tiny portion of the relief.
