Rocco

My opinion - Rocco needs to play better. He missed some key throws at critical times the last couple weeks which could have resulted in points.
In his defense, the OL can be criticized for not giving him enough time on occasion. His stat line isn’t bad - but what it doesn’t show was the make-up of the incompletions, such as the missed bunny to Klotz in the end zone. That was a well designed play he just needed to execute with a touch pass.. He’s not seeing open receivers at times, and is missing them too frequently when he does see them.
Given our injury situation, we really need him to be at his best each week, and we aren’t always getting that.
Now he isn’t the only party to blame for today’s debacle - he wasn’t responsible for pass coverage or QB pressure, but that is a subject for another post.

Democrats...The college educated party.

That was a comment on msnbc.

They don't understand how condescending that is.
They piss off:
The Republicans and who do have degrees.
All non college grads.
Independents who feel the dems are elitists.

As someone who has lived in small town Iowa with a college degree for 41 years. You just don't talk like that if you want friends.

They'd be soo much farther ahead to just teach and try to win people over. Instead they preach and blame demographics

Glenwood HS XC brag

Just got to give a shout out to the Glenwood, IA girls XC teams that are coached by my daughter. On Thursday night in Carroll, IA. The Glenwood teams swept the Hawkeye 10 Conference meet. Varsity, JV, and MS girls teams all came in first in their races.
Imo, the best achievement was done by the MS girls team. Last year they only had 4 MS girls out, and of course weren't in any team scoring in any meets.
This season a bunch of MS girls switched from sitting on the bench at VB games and joined the XC team.
They evidently learned how to run and compete in short order.
For the HS varsity and JV teams this was their 3rd conference Championship in a row, and the 4th in 5 yrs.
In the words of a University of Nebraska XC assistant coach in attendance at the meet Thursday: "These Glenwood girls have what it takes".
Now the real season starts next week for the HS Varsity girls with the State qualifying event in Harlan on Wednesday.
Crossing my fingers that the Glenwood girls continue to run well.

The old saying

There’s always next year for the Big 12 Championship. It was gift wrapped for this team but all of sudden it’s the year where we have more injuries than we typically have in 2 years.

Everyone looks exhausted. The WHOLE team. OL can’t push, D can’t tackle, and lacking improvement. Is the nutrition off? Are they gluten free? Soy Milk? Vegetables only?

Strength coach a weakness? Are they not built for a full season? Are they more injury prone due to his style of training? Are the expensive treadmills in storage? Why are we so slow?
