Local RB prospect finds future home

I know there had been some posts on here in the past asking what the story is with Titus. Well, he recently got offered by UNI and committed tonight. Nice to see the Panthers throw him a lifeline, as his P5 offers from Duke, ISU, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin were likely no longer on the table.

Trice Legacy Commemorative Game Ticket

Finally got to the bottom of my desk top this morning after sorting thru bills and mail that have accumulated the last 2 months.
Saw a letter from the ISU Foundation, and thinking it was another request for a donation, I almost pitched it,
Instead, I opened it and was surprised to find a Commemorative Game Ticket from the game against TCU on October 7th.
It can be used as a book mark or whatever, but I am sure the wife will scrapbook it.
Anyway, I thought it was kind of a neat little unexpected gift from ISU.
Thanks!

CyTown Gets Another $9 Million Bucks...

Saw on the news that the Board of Regents approved more money for CyTown today.

Bowl destination

I think we will end up in the Liberty Bowl once again. Looks like the other option would be the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. I don't see ISU falling further down the pecking order and unless we have a 2 game winning streak it is a reach to rise much higher.
Guaranteed Rate Bowl would be nice, unfortunate it is on Dec 26th.
Liberty Bowl is on Friday, December 29th.

ISU needs help to play for Big 12 title?

Playing with MRED this morning, and it looks like ISU does not control their own destiny. First ISU must beat UT and KSU on the road. If the favorites win all the other games, ISU finishes 3rd. TO make the first 2 seeds (yes ISU can get the #1 seed), requires that ISU win both, and BYU must beat one of OU or OSU, or UH beats OSU. Long shot on any of those happening. Did I miss anything?

My new sleep app - Iceland volcano!

I've become a huge fan of YouTube as I can find all kinds of cool interests on there. Always love a good volcano and lo and behold I found the motherload with the coverage of the Iceland volcano threatening Grindavik! Some great work by some volcanologists, geologists as well as a live split screen showing the potential eruption areas as well as live seismic activity and a great map showing the tremors.

TOE hoops vs Creighton

First time seeing them play. Hanging tough at Creighton.

No super star or NBA player I don’t think. Big man Krikke from Valpo looks good, he starts and can score. Sandfort very dangerous from 3. Perkins solid 2 and driver. Pat McC is the same. Don’t look like they have a ton of depth. A true frosh came in at center as the back up.

Feel like we should roll but always nervous they will hit 10 3s or something.

Mall experience

Had to go to Dick's today (they still don't have my size) and it was attached to what was once known as "mall". A very lonely place... Well over half the stores vacant and many other stores with lots of product were locked with nobody working. The mall folk are half a step away from zombie apocalypse. Last time I was in "mall" was decade PLUS ago and oddly enough, the store mix hasn't changed. Hot Topic, Spencers, seven iterations with the word "shoe" in the title, 3 of the normal jewelry stores, 2 jersey stores, Auntie Anns pretzels. But they also had a pet store, an airsoft shooting range and the biggest crossfit/Brazilian martial arts facility I've ever seen.

I ran into mall security there too. He was a kid in a wheel chair with no legs wearing a security shirt. And yes I wondered how easy it would be to....
