Where does the ISU Men's Basketball team stay in Kansas City for the Big 12 tournament. My grandkids want to stay there if possible while at the tournament.

The chosen ones are down 11 to Indiana at halftime. With three games to go after this one and a season finale against Ohio State, this could this could get interesting. I fully expect them to comeback and win, but since most of us can't watch, we will have to let someone else tell us how it came out.

We are rooting for BYU for any of number reasons, correct? We want to finish ahead of Baylor in the conference for seeding purposes I would guess. Omaha placement is in play here

ISU is typically 1 score (3 or less pts) away from winning every game they lose in FB. Always the team that is literally a few plays away from being undefeated each season. Their standings in the conference each year don't tell the whole story. Farmageddon is always epic. As a KStater I am always seeing them as a challenge.

For whatever reason, a few days ago Prohm's last season popped into my spacious, empty head and I tried to remember who was on that team. We didn't buy season tix that year because there was zero chance I was going to sit there with a stupid mask on and once it became clear how bad they were, I didn't even turn on the tube. When I started thinking of the guys on that team....I drew a complete blank. Not one. So I cheated and took a look and wow....Dudley Blackwell? Darlinstone Dubar? Tyler Harris?...lol...holy crap. But also Bolton, Coleman-Lands, & Conditt. Can you imagine an in-depth article about that season and what actually went on? I went back and took a look at the games and ISU was actually very close on some conference games and then I saw the ISU @ Miss State score 56-95. Lawdy. Any inside sniipets you have from that team/season?

Getting around to some housekeeping work this week and have polished up this standing feature that's always slotted on the front page. As we've all talked about on this board for a few months now, the Cyclones will likely be targeting a couple transfer portal forwards for next season.

I hope this isn't off topic but I saw a thread about EIU vs Wisconsin and it made me wonder if there will ever be a day where the two schools don't hate each other as much as they do now. I'm not gonna lie (to paraphrase the only EIU football player I can currently stand) but I utter a curse word whenever I see that they actually won a game in anything. It goes back, for me, more years than some on this board have been alive. Raisin Face made it a holy mission to ruin us so badly that we would never pose a threat to their primacy. It almost seemed a few of our AD's and coaches signed up for that too. But as we've gotten better and bigger, and since I don't live in Iowa anymore and don't have to witness their crap firsthand, I kind of shrugged when they beat Wisconsin as if it didn't really matter in any respect. But that is foreign to me. I live to see them lose. I know I'm poisoned but what about others? There are a few who I actually know who put EIU first, but act as if they cheer for us "when you're not playing the hawks." Do those people exist on our side? Does this really matter? Will it evolve in some what where the two sides view each other as "Iowa teams" and actually root for each other? Personally, I can't see it, but there are far more rational voices on this forum than me. Screw the hoks!
