Today it's greater

The OG Carlisle Cy wished he could see one really good Iowa State FB team in his life. He did make it through the 2020 year and that was phenomenal for him to see before he passed in 2021. This year though, I can't imagine how he'd be feeling right now.

Growing up he taught me to love the Cyclones, but prep for the kick to the nads. I said a few words to dad tonight when the tap to the nads was imminent. Now, I believe he's smiling like never before from the best seat in the house.

And I teared up a bit on that last int when I looked down a couple rows to my brother. We were both thinking about dad.

Sure, we have some issues to work out and heal up on the bye week. For now I’m gonna enjoy heading into November with a 7-0 record and sleep well knowing we'll be 7-0 after next Saturday too!

Always a great day to be a Cyclone. Today it's little greater. 54 years a Cyclone and it's only getting better.

Cygarin Ratings projections of Big-12 CCG contenders....

Here is how the Cygarin Ratings projects the final Big-12 records of those that still have a chance at the CCG. The conference is still a tough race.....

BYU: 7-2, -1 to +2
ISU: 7-2, 0 to +1
KSU: 6-3, 0 to +1
TTU: 6-3 -2 to +2
Cincy: 5-4, 0 to +2
CU: 5-4, - 2 to +2
WVU: 5-4, -3 to +1

Note that this list does not follow the order of current power rankings due to current win/loss record and remaining strength of schedule. Strength of schedule, especially who plays whom home vs. away...is huge.

The contenders have been reduced from nine to seven.

BYU is in a slightly better position to have a better conference record than Iowa State does. But they also have a slightly better chance of having a worse record than Iowa State does. (This is based on the difficult games remaining and whether slightly favored or slight underdogs.)

Iowa State has the best conference win so far, followed by Arizona, Kansas State, BYU, WVU, then Colorado

Kansas State has the most difficult conference strength of schedule remaining of the contenders. Iowa State and BYU are about even for 2nd.

Texas Tech has the easiest remaining conference schedule, followed by Colorado.

Crucial games this week among CCG contenders.....

Arizona State @ Cincy
Kansas State @ WVU

(IIn my opinion.)

College Gameday

I can't watch this anymore. They made a point of saying we are a 1 bid league despite having 2 undefeated teams. This is the second week they have brought this up as they had a segment last week saying the same thing. We are only halfway through the season and we already know how many bids each league will get? What a joke, the bias is unreal. Just give the BIG/SEC their 8 automatic bids, the biased media will keep pounding the point home until the committee does what they want.

It's UCF week, so let's get rolling with those predictions for the game against the Knights.

2) Total points scored. (ex: 52 points)
3) TIEBREAKER: How many passing yards will Iowa State finish with?

Number one will be the first determiner and then I'll take whoever gets closest to the total points. If needed, I'll go to the passing yards prediction to break a tie.

Cowpokes at BYU

Anyone watching this?

OSU State benched Bowman at QB (finally). He's been awful.

BYU takes first drive straight down the field, 7-0. I'm thinking OSU has quit already, are they really going to start 0-4 in the B12 after being a Top 20 team??

But they showed heart....somehow up 21-14 at half. Ollie Gordon with 3 TDs. OSU backup starter got hurt, so Bowman is now in the game.

Would be great if OSU could hold on for the upset. If we wanna dream big, a BYU loss would certainly be helpful.
