Looking at next year, without factoring any Portal loss or gain, we are losing through graduation or NFL not alot. But some are significant.

On offense, in the playing rotation, we lose Dean, Hufford, Treiber, & Stanley. Hufford seems most critical but hopefully we are building that pipeline. The other 3 have seemed to provide good senior leadership. Simmons, not so much.

On defense, we lose Vaughn and Tampa (a given he won't use his available year). Verdon and Purchase are Seniors, but each has a rs year available.

That is a lot returning. And not much leaving in the traditional route. Since we appear to be signing in the neighborhood of 19-20 new signers there will be significant portal activity. Let us hope it is not from the ones we have seen grow and develop.

The biggest loss is Contreraz. Hopefully Gilbert is ready or the have identified a replacement.

Nebraska borderline 4-star talks recent return to Iowa State

We actually clocked in at the very bottom of "other receiving votes" with 2 votes. I did not see anyone mention that.

Does it mean anything? Not really....except that someone has seen TJ take a whole new team in back to back years to the dance, and whoever it was sees that happening again. Kind of cool.

The Cyclones' Dec. 7 Cy-Hawk Series game against Iowa has been moved up to a 6:30 p.m. tipoff at Hilton Coliseum. It will be broadcast on ESPNU.

We won't have a game time & network until this weekend, likely Saturday night/early Sunday morning.

The Michigan Board of Regents has discussed leaving the big 10 if Harbaugh was suspended. Guess what, he’s suspended. Will BY be knocking on the door? I doubt the SEC is a good fit. I think it would be a game changer for the Big 12, and it would start the mass exodus from the ACC.

Iowa State's head coach will be in front of the media at around 12:15 this afternoon inside the Stark Performance Center. I'll be there posting highlights in the thread below.

When David Montgomery left I thought we'd be lucky to see another even close in talent to him. Along came Breece. When Breece left, I thought we'd never see another that talented. Now we have an emerging talent in Abu. Four amazing years with Brock Purdy. We'll never see another like him - or will we?

After the disappointment of all the close losses the last two years, and the off-season turmoil that left us with an unbelievably young team, Coach has put together an amazing coaching job.

Bowl eligibility is a big deal this year. The extra coaching. The reward for success. All Big deals. We have chances in the two remaining games. If Cooper gets back and we can find a way to rush for 4 ypc, we can win. It is all up to the OL, imo.
