Just another lie told on this board debunked today

Admits that he completely made up the story and lied.

And yet the lemmings on here still repeat this nonsense like it was accurate.

FOOTBALL RECRUITING ***Big Man Camp & Saturday Night Lights Thread***

It's going to be a long day of Iowa State camps tomorrow and I'm planning to cover both for the site. Here are some of the names of interest that I've confirmed will be in town and are there are some good ones! I'll be posting some additions to this list, as well as some news and notes from the day. The Big Man Camp runs from about 9-11 a.m. and the Saturday Night Lights Camp gets underway about 5:00 and will wrap up around 8:00.

Here are some prospects I'll be following.

The Caitlyn Clark situation is out of control...

Like CC, or hate her, but the WNBA is out of control. She may talk trash, okay fine. But the abuse she is taking is clearly not called for. She is getting thrown around like a rag doll and there has been zero consequences thus far! She is going to get hurt in short order and nobody in the front office seems to care. The WNBA has turned into basketball, hockey and football all thrown together.

The Republic has fallen, we are now a true Banana Republic

I've fought for this country and given 34 years of my life in Army/Federal service. The nation is now fully under the umbrella of tyranny...for the first time in our 248 years. A partisan President has arrested, charged and show trialed his political opposition. Our justice system has been abused and turned into a Soviet Style apparatus serving this tyranny...and without a fair and impartial legal system no one is genuinely free.

It feels as if all I've served and fought for has been destroyed. Dark day for the Republic.

The forgotten freshman

Well, not really forgotten so much as overshadowed by Audi Crooks. Crooks (635 points) shattered the season freshman scoring record set by Megan Taylor (460 points), but Addy Brown wasn't far behind Taylor either. Brown scored 429 points for the year, making her third on the list of points scored in a year by a freshman, beating out Ashley Joens (408), who is now tied for fourth with Colleen Peterson.

Last snowy game at JTS

Does anybody recall the last snowy game at Jack Trice? I know we have had games with snow on the ground. But I am lacking recollection of actual snow falling during the game, and covering the field.

I know you old timers talk about the what, Colorado in 91?

I know we have had cold, but I was just kinda fantasizing about the snow falling when we play Texass.

FOOTBALL ***Jeremiah Cooper Named To Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List***

Iowa State Media Relations

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State junior defensive back Jeremiah Cooper has been named one of 42 candidates for the Lott IMPACT Trophy. The candidates for the trophy, in its 21stseason, were named to the list Thursday at a luncheon in Newport Beach, California.

The watch list is comprised of 18 defensive backs, 13 defensive linemen and 11 linebackers. Cooper is one of seven Big 12 players on the list.

Named after former NFL Hall of Fame star Ronnie Lott, The Lott Trophy annually goes to the Defensive IMPACT Player of the Year, a player who has had the biggest impact on his team both on and off the field. IMPACT stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity, all characteristics exhibited by Lott during his illustrious playing career.

Cooper, an El Paso, Texas, native and product of Andress High School, finished second among Big 12 players and sixth nationally with five interceptions, despite missing a pair of games due to injury. He was fourth nationally in passes defended per game (1.4), finishing the season with 15 total passes defended, including 10 pass breakups.

Cooper earned First Team All-Big 12 honors from the coaches and Associated Press in 2023 and was Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week after having two interceptions, including one that was returned 58 yards for a touchdown, against UNI.

He also tallied 45 tackles last season.

The annual winner is selected by a national voter panel, consisting of former winners, members of the media, coaches and members of the Board of Directors of The IMPACT Foundation. The winner will be announced at a gala, black-tie event at The Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California on December 8.
