Flugaur has been right about everything so far.

A judge still has to approve it, but the involved parties have now agreed. This was reportedly expected a few weeks ago. Some recent transfers will get another year of eligibility and no new rule can be issued limiting athletes’ transfer abilities in the future.

Several years ago I purchased tickets to the ISU/Texas game. From Texas. I still get postings from them. Today's was their official we're going the the $EC posting. Yee haw!! I see we signed another Cuban wrestler. Osmany Diversant is expected to wrestle at 125/133. He has won various junior and senior Pan-Am and Cuban titles and defeated 2024 Arizona State champion Richard Figueroa in the 2021 junior Pan-American games.

The WCWS field consists of:

• 3 Big 12 teams
• 2 SEC
• 2 PAC-12
• 1 ACC
• 0 Big Ten

If the same teams make it next year:

• The SEC will inherit two teams from the Big 12 putting them at 4 or half the field.
• The ACC will inherit one team from the PAC-12, putting them at 2.
• The Big 12 loses two teams to the SEC, putting them at 1.
• The Big Ten will inherit one team from the PAC-12, putting them at 1.
• The PAC-12 loses two teams to the SEC and Big Ten, putting them at 0.

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head tennis coach Jaron Maestas announced Wednesday the signing of Brazilian Gabriela Da Silva.

Da Silva, a Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, native, owns an ITF junior ranking of 209, while her career-high WTA ranking was 1,290. She will join the Cyclones as a freshman with four seasons of eligibility remaining.

“Gabriela was the type of kid that was excited to call Ames home,” Maestas said. “She is the fiery competitor that will be a part of what our vision for the program is going forward.”

Da Silva is the fifth newcomer in the class for Iowa State, joining Julia Camblor (Gijon, Spain), Suzanie Pretorius (Potchefstroom, South Africa), Cristina Ramos Sierra (Madrid, Spain) and Mari Paz Alberto Vilar (Alcala De Henares, Spain).

I'm sure a lot of you will remember how much time Cecil Rhoads spent around the football program during Paul's time as head coach.

Trying to find something to keep me occupied during the off-season, so I've been rewatching some basketball and football games. One thing I noticed on some of these second go-rounds, is that Crooks is a lot more athletic than you would think. I use for evidence of this, the fact that she almost always won the opening tip. She can jump more than her frame would suggest. She even won two tips against Aoka Lee, who stands 3 inches taller than her, in that double OT game. She won the opening tip and then the first OT tip. I didn't get to see the second OT tip because I was just watching a highlights video.

….. great performances by Lil Big Town and Chris Stapleton, but especially by George Strait. He played 31 songs at 72 years old, so time has been kind to his level of stamina. These accolades are coming from a guy who is generally indifferent about country music but has seen many concerts in the last 45 years.

I’ll have to admit, this one was pretty cool to see. I’ve known Will since he was a seven year old and I helped coach he and my son’s club baseball team. Time flies!
