IRVING, Texas - A pair of Iowa State men's basketball players have earned preseason honors from the Big 12 coaches. Tamin Lipsey and Keshon Gilbert were each named to the 10 player All-Big 12 Preseason Team, with Lipsey named to the first team and Gilbert to the second. The Cyclones were picked to finish third in the league behind Kansas and Houston.

The pair were each named All-Big 12 last season, with Lipsey being named to the first team and Gilbert to the second team. Lipsey and Gilbert, along with Milan Momcilovic, were named to the Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team, where Gilbert was named the MVP as the Cyclones won the title for the fifth time in the last 10 years.

Only four players in the country averaged at least 12.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game last season, with Lipsey and Gilbert accounting for two of the four. They were the first duo in NCAA Division I Men's Basketball history to each average those numbers in the same season.

Iowa State opens the 2024-25 season Nov. 4 against Mississippi Valley State. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+ at Hilton Coliseum.
