We Will Collective

Was having some thoughts on NIL and as much as alot of us disagree with it, it is here to stay. So doing some figuring, our football stadium holds 62,500 people. How do we convince that many cyclone fans to donate $20/month? That would be $15,000,000/year for the We Will Collective, which would go a long ways for the athletes. I know I will be signing up now to do my part in helping!

Biden again looking out of middle class Americans

Long overdue. Get government money to develop drugs then keep them affordable.

If not...we will take them back.

Remember when hawk fans were proud they didn't have a team full of "thugs"???

A good morning

It’s always a good Sat morning when I run into Cyclonegenesis, but today was extra good. He was sitting in his usual spot and
as we started visiting about Thursday night, I noticed a guy with an Iowa hat about 8’ away pretending to not listen. At that point I may or may not have used phrases like “it was so easy”…”thankfully we played some strong teams in that tourney because this non conference is not getting us ready for the Big 12”…”it was surprising how small & weak Iowa was, looked like a MAC team”. When Cyclonegenesis & I had completely burned iowa city to the ground, we said our good byes. At that point Tavernhawk was glaring at us, I may or may not have smirked at him as I turned to exit.

CyTown Construction Going Wild

In the last week, I've driven by the CyTown development a number of times, usually around lunch time. Each time I drive by I see one or two big trucks hauling in loads of fill dirt and usually an empty truck or two returning to wherever they are getting that dirt. I meant to post that a few days ago but never got around to it.

Today's Ames Tribune had an article about CyTown progress being under budget and ahead of schedule. It looks like the fill dirt is going in the south end of lot A right now. I don't know if you need a subscription to read the article that I've linked below.

FOOTBALL ***RELEASE: Cyclones earn Academic Achievement Award***

Iowa State Media Relations

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State football team is one of just 13 programs nationally that has earned the 2023 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Academic Achievement Award.

The award is based on the Cyclones having a 100 percent graduation rate from the recently released NCAA graduation success rate report. The rate was for the program’s 2016 freshman football student-athlete class. It marks the first time Iowa State has received the honor.

The Memphis Touchdown Club presents the annual award, which is sponsored by BSN Sports.
