There was a thread earlier this week about breaking a three-way tie for 4th to determine the B12 WBB seeding, but it glossed over the fact that WVU would get the 4th seed over us in a two-way tie. I checked the mred bracket machine with today's results (thus far), and found:
If Baylor beats OSU tomorrow, we get the 4th seed and the double bye. The winner of tonight's UCF/Houston game would get the 13th seed; they would play the #12 seed TTU in the first round. The second round game would be against #5 Baylor. We would get the winner of that game in the third round.
If OSU beats Baylor tomorrow, then we slip to the 5th seed and a single bye. We play the winner of TTU/UCF/Houston. If we win that, we play #4 WVU in the third round.
Fortunately, the OSU/Baylor game is in Waco, and Baylor beat them by 12 in Stillwater.

Interesting stats on what has happened to KState after Tangs meltdown in Ames. And those wins since were in OT.

Rewatched the Oklahoma game and he had some open shots that he didn’t take that he would usually take. I hope he starts letting it fly again, starting today. Freshman are pretty beat up this late in the season and not use too the grind. Just needs a Red Bull I think.

AMES, Iowa – Senior point guard Emily Ryan announced her plans to return to Iowa State for the 2024-25 season on Friday evening. The Claflin, Kansas native made a statement via social media regarding her future with the Cyclones.

“Four years wasn’t enough. Let’s run it back, Cyclone Nation,” said Ryan.

In 113 games played at Iowa State, Ryan has amassed 1,209 points, 724 assists and 489 rebounds. She owns the second-highest career assist total in program history and has posted the 23rd-best total for career points. Ryan returned to play after missing the first nine games of the 2023-24 season due to injury and has averaged 10.3 points, 5.9 assists and 4.1 rebounds through 18 games.

Just renewed my season tickets for Football, and I have to give kudos to the ISU Ath-Dept for making it a painless , easy peasy transaction..
Basically just clicked on the link in the email they sent me, and bam, bam, boom, DONE.

It hasn't worked this well for me in prior years. just sayin.

It looks likely that ISU WBB could finish in a 3 way tie for 4th place with Baylor and WVU, all at 12-6. ISU is 2-1 against those teams. Baylor is also 2-1. WVU is 1-2. What is tie breaker criteria to determine the 4 seed who obviously gets a double bye? OU is 1 seed and assuming Texass gets the 2 seed and K-State the 3 seed if no upsets on Sat. Hoping our sweep of the 3 seed Kstate maybe helps us? Baylor did lose to OU like us but beat Texas and we lost to Texas. That mean we get the 5 seed?

I was reading about the NCAA investigating Tennessee for violations surrounding their NIL collective. The Chancellor at Tennessee put out a scathing letter that essentially said the NCAA has been lame as hell in handling NIL and has created chaos and confusion about what can and can’t be done. They’re suing the NCAA so it’ll be interesting to watch that play out. Can’t disagree at all about how lame the NCAA has been through all of this.
