Rewatching CyHok Game

Seriously, how in the hell did we lose to those neanderthals? Gave away the game, as well as the Phantom Holding call on Meeker. What an absolute Horseshit call!! But mostly on us.

Missed sacks 2 for sure
Fumble while driving across midfield
Failure to pin inside 5 on punt
Failure on 3rd long to keep them pinned on 3rd 22
Missed Int in our hands LB
Crap hold when we most likely win game on that drive
Muffed punt return with Young looking right at Jones, still smh.
Illegal block in back on KR put us in hole
Targeting Stone on Jones not called
Overthrow TD to Kolar w 8 min left, settled for 3
Another dropped INT by Young in endzone that keeps it 17-15.
Bad false start call w 4 min. Honestly cant see who wasnt set for 1 second?
Should have hung 28-35 on them..

Just to name a few
We clearly had better athletes all over. Slick field didnt help us along with long weather delay.

Better for ISU...

If Baylor beats OU? Of course, we need to win Saturday and assuming OU beats OSU, a Baylor win puts them in the NY6. Wouldn't a 2 loss OU be selected for NY6 as well, especially with the 2nd loss occurring in the CCG. We would be in sole possession of 3rd place and ranked while both K-state and OSU would likely be unranked to end the season. We would have to be the Alamos choice at that point?

OT....on the lighter side...Outhouses!

Psyclone’s pic of an outhouse in a previous thread got me to thinking.

Who grew up using an outhouse at home, not just a summer camp experience?
Based on the estimated ages of some posters, I’d say there are a few.
My wife was six before they got indoor facilities. I had two months of it living in an old house on a neighboring farm while our house was being built.
Spiders, wasps and a rabid skunk made it interesting. At least we didn’t use a Sears catalogue.

Our kids have no concept.

Basketball

In years past I couldn’t wait for basketball to start because we were bad in football and good in basketball. That seems to have flip-flopped. This looks to be a full on rebuilding year. We can’t shoot. I was looking for more scoring from Bolton. I’m not trying to put anyone down but we really have no stars on this team. Seems to be a bunch of role players. Will be a long year.

We can’t play small ball if we can’t hit threes It just doesn’t work. Every team has more size than us and we get out rebounded. We desperately need a couple scorers. I think Halliburton and Bolton are going to need to be aggressive from the beginning of the game and drive to the hoop. It’s puzzling why Lewis doesn’t play at all. He has some experience and played decent early last year when we had everyone sitting out. He can’t be worse at shooting 3’s than we are now. Overall it’s depressing that this is a rebuilding year.

Cheez-it Bowl seems likely

If I'm duplicating a thread (1) I'm sorry, and (2) I'm not surprised.

I think Okie State beats Oklahoma and Kansas State beats the good guys, and the other games go according to form. That leaves us:

Baylor 8-1
OU 7-2
OSU 6-3
KSU 5-4
ISU 5-4
Texas 5-4
TCU 4-5
TT 2-7
WV 2-7
IU 1-8

So we have Baylor and OU playing in the title game, with the winner going to the Sugar Bowl and the loser to the Alamo Bowl. I'm being realistic here. The winner isn't going to the playoff, guys and gals.

Okie State to Orlando, and then Houston chooses from among Texas, KSU and ISU. Slam dunk for the teasips. The Liberty chooses between KSU and ISU. Since we were just there, I'd give the nod to the pussies....although I suppose if Memphis is the opponent, they might want ISU for a rematch, but not likely. That puts us in Phoenix, which is fine with me.

I think it plays out the same way of OU beats the 'Pokes, actually. The latter would still probably be Orlando's choice.

It would be beneficial for Iowa State to beat Kansas State. I do NOT want the Liberty Bowl.

DB tackling

I feel like the biggest drop-off from last year to this year on D is the tackling of our DBs. The past few years, if someone got past our front 7, there was usually a DB to clean things up. They were extremely good tacklers. This year, White is just OK, Eisworth is a shell of his former self due to injury. Lewis has fallen off. Bickham takes bad angles. Johnson does OK and Kyle is definitely an improvement over Young. They really need to shore up that Safety spot for next year. Seems like they are grooming Miller. We haven't seen Isheem Young. And Bowens and Keonte Jones have pretty much been invisible when/if they play.

Also, we REALLY miss Willie Harvey. The defense is much better with Rose and Vance rotating inside. If they can find someone for next year to allow Rose to move back to MIKE, we are going to be better for it.
