KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Today, the Conference announced that the 2025 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship will feature a new format, including all 16 teams, starting Wednesday, March 5 through Sunday, March 9/Monday, March 10. The Championship returns to Kansas City's T-Mobile Center for the second consecutive season.

The top four finishing teams in the league's regular season standings will receive a double bye into the quarterfinals while teams that finish the year fifth through eighth will receive one bye into the second round.

The Championship game will take place Sunday, March 9 on ESPN unless BYU advances to the final which would move the title game to Monday, March 10 on ESPN2. Times and full television designations for the Championship will be announced at a later date.

All-Session Tickets for this premier event will go on sale Friday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. CT. The link to purchase tickets can be found on Big12Sports.com.

New for this year, the Conference is adding best in class premium seating offerings that include club access, prime seats, complimentary light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

The 2024-25 season tips off Monday, Nov. 4 with league action set to commence Saturday, Dec. 21 as this year marks the Conference's first with 16 members.

Over the last four years, the Big 12 has had an average of 55% of the league make the NCAA Tournament field each season, the highest of any league. The current Conference members combined to go 8-0 in their first game of the 2024 NCAA Tournament while 15 of the 16 teams finished the 2023-24 season in the top 101 of the NET rankings.

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women's basketball has sold out of reserved section season tickets for the 2024-25 season. 3,350 tickets were sold as part of the reserved season ticket sale in the lower bowl at Hilton Coliseum.

"Once again, Cyclone Nation has shown to be the best fans in the country," said head coach Bill Fennelly. "All of us associated with Cyclone women's basketball appreciate your continued support and look forward to another season of Hilton Magic."

Single-game pre-sale for season ticket holders and Cyclone Club donors is available now. Single-game public on sale will begin on Wednesday, October 23 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com.

Iowa State is one of three programs (UConn, Tennessee) to rank in the top 10 nationally for home game attendance in each of the last 24 seasons (does not include 2020-21 season). In the nine seasons prior to Coach Fennelly's arrival in Ames, the Cyclones averaged 628 fans per contest. Since his arrival 29 seasons ago, he has seen attendance grow to over 10,000 fans every game.

Iowa State hosts Central College on October 30 for a preseason exhibition contest before welcoming Chicago State to Hilton Coliseum on Opening Day (November 4). The Cyclones will host seven additional non-conference games before opening the Big 12 slate on New Year's Day against Kansas.

Since we won, i might as well complain about something;

I thought that having the drone show at the same time as the Band's halftime show was disrespectful to the Band.

On top of that, the drones were a one and done show. Somewhat unremarkable. Don't need to see it again.

247 Sports has BYU as the #4 seed. In the playoff.
We need to prove them wrong.

They took exception to the way games have turned out. My take is winning in a comeback is the better measure of a team and coaches than a blow out, IMHO.

Searching on YouTube for a replay came upon a EA Sports version of our game against UCF. Didn't watch it all, but they had UCF beating us 62-49 in 2OT. Scoop & score off a strip sack of Rocco to seal the deal. Get this, it had their now-benched QB Jefferson lighting us up for 442 yards in passing. I don't think so!

Thank you to everyone who participated last week. The final score was Iowa State 38, UCF 35 (Iowa State by 3 and 73 total points). The Cyclones passed for 274 yards.

How long will it take for the SEC fans to understand why Big 12 fans are glad they are gone? I can’t wait to see what happens in the TX vs Aggies game on 11/20! But would love to see Vandy take them down in their next game!!

Cincy up on ASU 17-7 mid-way second

1. Rush defense makes us really vulnerable. Not sure if anything can be done with the LB situation. What we cannot have is Verdon missing so many tackles like he did in the first half.

2. Rocco is not a high interception QB. He is, however, a high pick 6 guy he is up to 5, if you count the last one tonight. This is the first time we didn't lose with him throwing a pick 6.

Like Eric said on the radio broadcast to ISU fans - These are the Good Old Days.

As a season ticket holder since 1972 - I agree! This is probably the last year for season tickets for our group.

Glad 49ers waited so long on Aiyuk - he's really paying off on the investment! They look like warmed over crap on offense and BP is doing nobody any favors.

Speaking of douche bags, I truly hate Tom Brady. His pretentious prickishness is blasting through my speakers and I'm not sure he adds anything to the broadcast. I'm embarrssed for his announcer commercial where he says he has unfinished business or whatever the crap... He's just a talking head who takes estrogen pills rectally in my humble non-medical opinion...
