Being reported by WOWT 6 in Omaha that the ISU matching band bus was involved in an accident on the way home. No details? Anyone heard of this? Hopefully everyone is okay.

Who are the most likely starters in offensive line next season? Is Miller back next season? Everything I have read says we have 3 starters returning, which would indicate he will be back, but he is listed as a RS Senior and has earned 3 letters. So I assumed this was his last season.

I can see Neal being a starter again at LT. Hopefully he has improved from last season when he struggled some. I think Buhr has done a decent job at LG but Barrett needs to be a starter somewhere. Does he move to center? Does Hasert or Bonifas earn a starting job? I think it will be interesting to see who ends up at center and who the other starters are.

There's part of me that says don't celebrate hawkeye suffering, show some brotherly love. A pat on the shoulder. No laughing. Encourage each other, build one another up. Right?
So for 15 long years, through which I lived, that miserable bastard Hayden Fry, built his empire on the smoldering ashes of our suffering. Smirking at our sadness. Pass the ball when up by double digits. Run our faces in it. Where was the brotherly love then?
No, my Cyclone brothers, I hope we do to them what they did to us. Many do not, but they sure deserve it.

Great win--that's a tough spot for a game. Elevation. Second meeting. Coming off Christmas break when I assume most went home for a few days. Nice to come out with the W.

A few random thoughts:

• Brandton Chatfield. Wow, what a beast he was last night. Relentless! If he continues like that, our potential takes another leap. (Now, if we can just work on the free throws )
• Around the three-four minute mark (I may be off a minute or so), TJ was really screaming at the team. Any heads up on that? Unlike him--was it just motivation, or was he ticked at something?
• This team finishes games (well, excluding Auburn). So fun to watch. Dayton, Marquette, Iowa, and last night. There's just a confidence that we will prevail.
• The depth we have--with Chatfield and Heise and of course Curtis (what a tool Curtis is to come off the bench!).
  • With that said, I thought Heise should have had more minutes in the first half, but that's nit picking
• Height/size/depth inside. Come March, in my book, that is a major attribute that separates the men from the boys. And, we have it, for perhaps the first time EVER.
• Nice to have the game on network television last night, but can't wait for the TNT/CBSSN to kick into full gear next season. By quick count, we have EIGHT games on ESPN+ this conference season. I'm getting used to it, but for exposure--that's rough.
• For those wanting to see us rise to a potential number 1 ranking--probably would not happen next week (if we would beat Baylor)

  • #2 Auburn hosts Missouri on Saturday
  • #1 Tennessee hosts Norfolk State today and Arkansas on Saturday

I wish we could end every year like this. A come from behind bowl win over a good team. Iowa loses their bowl game. Men win a conference road opener. TJ and Campbell locked in for years. Life is good. Did I mention that Iowa lost.

A buddy saw Jack Whitver recently and said he is walking and talking normally. He’s responding well to the experimental chemo he’s taking. Prayers for his continued healing.

I was at a farmer's market in Marco Island Florida with an ISU shirt on. I got numerous comments about the nice win the other day. It seems like ISU got nice exposure with the bowl win.

I’m too lazy to link the picture, but Ngoyi is not in the WR group pic from the bowl game, and it appears he didn’t play. The pic included guys who didn’t dress. Bill, any word on if he has left the team, or did he just not make the trip?
