I realize on field performance may have something to do with it, but it seemed there was a little extra "oomph" missing with the students away from the band. I totally get why they had to move the students. having them in front of the opposing team exit in field storming situations is not a recipe for good things.

I realize it displaces people again, which of course honks a certain amount of people off, but I'm wondering if moving to the NW corner could happen for next fall. The band pretty much needs to stay where it is. And I get moving the students to the SE corner was also a money thing. Put the students in the worst seats in the house.

But I imagine we will be on the struggle bus for season tickets next year anyway. Now might be the time to bite the bullet and move the students again. I really think the students need to be by the band.

…94-81 in Iowa City. Clark had 45, but the Wolfpack was too much for them. Clark had a 2 minute span where she was hitting everything from very deep and Iowa looked like they would come back cutting the lead to 4, but NC State kept their composure and answered the bell.

Attendance was 8000 tonight and they expect a “sellout” of 10,000 for our game on Wednesday.

The pressure on The Freerents just went up a significant amount.

I have seen a lot of doom and gloom about the transfer portal and how it is bad for ISU. I don't see it.

Is there a chance we will lose a great player some time...sure.

But it offers ISU the chance to fix recruiting errors immediately with G5 players who are proven.

For example...linebacker is in desperate need of some transfers who can be good immediately. In other years we would be hoping for a miracle with a JUCO kid. Not so much now.

The portal keeps ISU from major dips in talent that we saw in other years before the portal.

I'm excited about possible newcomers already and we haven't landed anyone. It's also a good way to encourage "misses" to move on.

I had heard rumblings of Bruce thinking of backing out of his Iowa commitment ahead of signing day and reaching out to Iowa State, only to be told that they were full and couldn't take him. I think they would at this point.
