Sorry for starting another thread, but this deserves not to be buried. Watched in Cyclones.TV yesterday and it finally came up on Google to post. Should have searched Cyclones.com yesterday.

Spring Game

In the lower bowl on the east side it was very pleasant. Have definitely been at colder games. If I was a local fan, I'd be a little annoyed at CMC. If you were deciding to brave the weather or not and heard him say it was going to be more like a normal practice with fans?? They had Big 12 refs and got after it. I saw someone put it at 2K? There was at least 5k there.

1. JJ looked ok for kid who would still be in HS. He did drop the shotgun snap a few times.
2. Rocco is a nice little athlete but is quite the contrast in stature and arm than the other two.
3. Really thought HD looked the part. Big time arm and clearly our QB,
4. The two transfers of note. The WR was very impressive. Lovett, the LB was running with the 3's?
5. James Neal will be a factor at left tackle this year. Looks like he can barely get to the line of scrimmage, but then is a wall.

Details

Frankly, I had blocked the details of last year from my conscientiousness. Emotional trauma, I suppose. But I went through the cames and it was stark. We should have won 3 games we lost. Kansas, Kansas State, and Texas Tech. We easily could have won Texas and OSU.

Field goal kicking could have won us 3 games. Catching wide open passes could have won 2 games. Turnovers cost us 2 games. Not to mention penalties. [There is some overlap.] This should have been a 6-7 win team at a minimum, and an 8 win team if details were actually paid attention to. Even with a FCS level offensive line performance.

I don't know if I feel better or worse thinking about this.

FB Schedule (revision) will we go undefeated?

I have revised this to be more positive…

Our upcoming schedule for football looks wonderful (revised)to me. We begin with UNI who will be laying for us as always, and will be ready. (we should always (revised) play them) We have new coaches, many positions we don't know who's the starter (revised) but who cares) Count on a win, then followed by a win atIowa could be almost (revised ) greatfor the program. Add to that on the road to a Mac school Ohio, coming off those two games and that will be really tough. We play both Cincy and BYU on the road, both looking to make their mark. And we play both Texas and OU and you have a schedule that may make last years win total (revised) easy to beat. (last sentence deleted) 😀😀😀😀

OT- Self implicated in Addidas pay for play yet again.....
