This was kind of an odd fit from the beginning, given how much the staff loved having Southeast Polk QB Connor Moberly on board and that Batiste seemed set in his ways of remaining at his current position at the next level. I think Scheelhaase thought he could end up talking Batiste into making a position switch once he got to Ames. This was probably the right move for Batiste, given that he wanted to play QB.

Had tickets about half way up section 15 for UT. There were scattered Horn fans throughout, but there were 3 UT fans and a guy and a gal that had TOE gear on(maybe UT fans dressed as hacks) about five rows down, most likely mid twenties in age. Didn't seem to drunk but the guy kept lipping off after every positive UT play.

About midway through the 2nd Quarter a Clone fan about three rows back had enough and it turned into a shouting match, and the TOE gal shut the guy down but the cops showed up and settled things down and had an extended talk with TOE guy.

It lasted til late in the third quarter and TOE guy really got mouthy. An older gentleman in his seventies that was seated right behind him told him he needed to shut up(from what I deemed) and the guy just kept up so reinforcements showed up in numbers(as in 5 or 6) Clone fans. The TOE gal got in between along with a one of the Horn fans.

TOE guy finally decided he was gonna leave for good to a course of boos and one finger salutes.

Why in hell would someone go to a visitors stadium dressed in a teams colors that he knows he will cause friction. Even if he was a UT incognito as a Hackeye, he was stupid enough to be a Hack.

About a year ago Jamie announced a program where we put a significant amount of money aside in an account every year for every scholarship athlete and they get their money when they graduate. Does this come into play when you are trying to match another school's NIL. I was thinking it amounted to around $60K for a 4 year grad. I have recently heard of a proposal that sounds somewhat similar except they were just talking payment every year and not holding to graduation.

Nothing but funeral services listed.
I took him to ISU for his official visit. No family went.
After school he was part of a big drug bust that involved around 10 people.
Did federal time in South Dakota. Knew 2 others who also did time. 1 or 2 yrs.
Any one know anything else about him??
