I was intending to make the 2.5 hour drive tomorrow to watch the game. However, the wife & her friend from there who is running in the marathon in JAX on Sunday have scheduled an early dinner for "us" Sat. So guess who is not making the game. Iowa won by 2 at home to Ohio St. in nail bighter. It was an unusually quiet Carver Mausoleum in the last few seconds, at crunch time. It could not have been more quiet when OSU was shooting free throws with a couple of seconds left. Sanford was waving his arms to get the dead fired-up. Hey all, wanted to share with you the information for our big We Will fundraiser on February 7th at Toast in Ankeny. Last year was an all-time night. The entire Iowa State Football staff and 20 or so players will be in attendance. Not to mention a meal catered by the same group that caters the Football recruits meals and some incredible raffle and auction items. Tickets are $250, which I know is on the high end, but we only have 300 avaialble so hopefully Cyclone Nation can rally behind us for a great night and to show some support for the guys that will be there that chose to remain Cyclones.

Houston up 12 on the road at Texas with two minutes to go in the half.

It's hard to quantify exactly how good that win over Houston was that we had. I think this Houston team is very legitimate final Four contenders. They are grown men and they are tough and their defense is insane.

Upcoming games UCF, OU & KSU. KSU & OU have only one loss. WVU has 2.

If we can't win it outright, we definitely want a top 4 seed for the tourney.

UCF is 1-8 & simply must get that one and then the next two would have a huge impact on path forward.

Who knows how the chips are going to fall, but probably north of 11-7 needed for top four? 13-5 gets it?
