SAN ANTONIO, Texas –Iowa State seniors Keshon Gilbert and Curtis Jones have been invited to play in the 2025 NABC-Reese’s College All-Star Game. They are the ninth and 10th Cyclones invited to play in the game in the game’s history.

Due to rehabbing his multiple injuries from the end of the season, Gilbert will not be participating in the game. Jones is expected to play in the game.

The All-Star game will take place on Friday, April 4 at 3:30 p.m. at the Alamodome as part of Reese’s Final Four Friday. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network, and admission to the game and Reese’s Final Four Friday is free.

In two years in a Cyclone jersey, the duo put on quite the performance for Iowa State fans. In 66 games, Gilbert averaged 13.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Gilbert was a two-time All-Big 12 selection and was the 2024 Big 12 Championship MVP. The Best Sixth Man in America, Jones appeared in 71 games for the Cyclones with just 10 starts. He averaged 14.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He led the Cyclones in scoring this season with 17.4 points per game, while being named the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year and to the All-Big 12 First Team.

Is the portal open for women's basketball? Any word on players coming or going?

The settlement on paying athletes essentially sets up a salary cap July 1, and WeWill will be part of the Iowa State athletic department. With this agreement in place there’s a fighting chance for college sports to continue albeit harder to pay for. However, the Big 10 is already exploring ways around a cap for some insane reason. If they are successful, it creates an unsustainable model for many universities, and a complete change in colllegrs ability to fund competitive programs. Big 10 is very short sighted.

If Crawford wins, very, very likely the Republicans lose control of the US House of Representatives.

Susan Crawford will be the deciding vote on the Democrats gerrymandering Wisconsin election districts to move heavily in favor of Democrats. That will absolulutely cost Republicans two House seats in the 2026 mid-terms.

Crawford will give the Liberals a majority on the court, and the court will allow the re-districting.

Crawford is scum. She has blatantly and publicly stated in the past that the districts need to be re-drawn, and has made no bones about which way she will vote. Recently she took part in a donor conference call that was explicitly marketed to "change the districting in Wisconsin". She's lying about the nature of that call, using the weak excuse, "well, I got off the call before they talked about that."

Bull. She knew exactly what the fundraiser was for, and why she was there.

She also has let off violent criminals time and time again. And, she will make sure that Act 10 in Wisconsin will be overturned--Act 10 was passed by Governor Scott Walker and has served to save the state millions of dollars by actually making teachers pay for some of their health care. It also gave schools an easier road to use performance with job reviews...go figure.

A complaint was filed against Crawford this week in regard to her antics with the donor call, but our election commission leans liberal.

George Soros is pouring millions into this race (to be fair, Elon Musk is too).

IF you know anyone in Wisconsin, PLEASE encourage them to vote for Brad Schimel. I have first hand accounts that Schimel is first class all the way, extremely ethical, and a very hard & dedicated worker.

So I'm in a bar in Austin with the men's and women's BB tournaments on TV. This couple from England sits beside us and we strike up a conversation. After a few minutes he tells me how great Catlin Clark is. I did a double take because we are separated by a common language.
