I have really enjoyed watching the Cyclone ladies play basketball this year.
All (including the four freshmen) are playing like they belong in the B12. They are aggressive, self-assured, well-prepared, un-afraid and talented. It is rare to have freshman talent that doesn't flaunt evidence of inexperience. They don't back away from physical play, and guard with athletic quickness.
The four freshmen, together with experienced returning letter-winners, have helped create an overall atmosphere of effort on the court. They do so while following the game plan and playing selflessly. I don't remember a time when the Cyclone ladies have moved the ball on offense so effortlessly. What fun to watch them find one open shot after another, mixing their three-point accuracy with a drive to the bucket and/or dish to the player with defenders drawn inside.
It should be a fun game with Baylor on ESPNU Saturday @ 7:00 PM.
