Then we came back and scored on three straight possessions to take the lead late. But I told my buddy's I was texting with...'this is fool's gold, we will lose on a FG with little or no time remaining'. We are Cyclone fans after all.
Game ends. I'm bummed. But not pissed. The expectations of this season for many were wayyyy too high. Myself included. I predicted a 9 win season and even then I thought that was probably lofty.
I sat there and realized ok, we are 2-2 with the two losses to undefeated teams. And by a total of three points. And it could be argued that the outcomes of those games were ours to be had and we shot ourselves in the foot.
CMC and staff are going to continue to get this program turned around. These close games will start to go our way. Under past coaches I wasn't sure if I believed that. I do with this staff.
