Booze & Snacks discussion from CMC thread

Cinnamon roll flavor? I have a couple people surveying for me and they've been sold out 2 of 3 stores since that bowl game. So it's Heacock peddling them out of his trunk! 🤣
I had a neighbor (passed away) who was Manager of the local Palmer Candy store in Sioux City. He was a great guy. When I first moved in, I saw him drive by a bunch of kids in the neighborhood, stop, open his trunk and ask them if they wanted any candy. I told him I didn't think that was a good idea in these times;)

Different kind of game tonight

This was not your typical Iowa State win, at least in my experience. I keep track of this stat and it usually holds true in every game that the team that wins this stat wins the game. Usually, when we win, and I think when most teams win, they have a big advantage in assists. Sharing the ball, team play makes the world go round. Tonight, that was not the case. Up until about 7 or 8 minutes left in the game, we had 5 assists. We wound up with 11 assists for the game, compared to 18 for Utah. If those numbers were reversed, with the winning team having more than the loser, it would be more in line with what I'm used to seeing in a box score.

It seemed like we were not playing team ball for most of the game, hence the struggle tonight to put away a very mediocre team. The good news is, we are so good, it didn't matter a lick in the end, Our guys were better than theirs. The bad news is, this can't become a trend, especially when we play better teams and when we get into tournament time. I'm no expert, but again, this is the one stat in basketball I keep an eye on. If I haven't watched the game and see a box score, it's the first stat I go to if we lost and it usually shows that we didn't share the ball well.

Quote from Biden’s exit interview

At the end of USA Today’s article on their exclusive says it all:

“Biden also expressed frustration about how long it took to start the infrastructure projects. “Historians will talk about (how) great the impact was, but it didn’t (have) any immediate impact on people’s lives,” he said.

“And so I don’t think I’ve been very good at − ” He paused.

Taking credit? “Or not so much me, but establish that the government did this for you.””

More like the government did this TO you.

ESPN has ISU as National Title Contenders

This is a pay to view article, but they have ISU with Auburn and Duke in Tier #1 of National Title Contenders.

And Lunardi's Bracketology is the worst I have ever seen.

WVU as a #2 seed? Houston and Nebraska a #7? Baylor an #8?
