Colorado

This has nothing to do with them joining the Big 12. I wanted to make that clear up front.

I bought a slide scanner and have been scanning my slides and negatives from an old collection. I have a whole carousel of slides from Colorado and have to comment about what a beautiful state that is. But I've always thought it was an elusive beauty. The beauty is in the vista. That beauty is miles away. When you try to go there, the real beauty is in another vista, not so much where you are standing. You just can't get your hands around it. It's always in the distance.

Not that where your at might not have some beauty of its own unless that close up stuff is just barren landscape fit for the moon. It's just that the breathtaking beauty seems to always be in the distance. I find that a bit frustrating that the state plays hard-to-get.

FWIW, Video Evidence

I have not seen any video glimpses of Lee, Hanikka, Remsberg, or Brock on any of the videos. They were, along with Dekkers, the original 5 that were rumored and speculated.

Dekkers and reserve lineman Sauser were identified in criminal charges. Brock "is not currently practicing with the team" according to Matt Campbell.

The videos are flashes, so I do not mean to imply they are definitive. Has anyone with better eyes (almost anyone, really) seen any of the other 3 practicing?

Seeking a block of 16 tickets for ISU v UNI

We're having a sort of reunion in Ames this year -- a group of us who mostly graduated at roughly the same time in the late 80s, plus spouses and kids. It's part reunion, part our 35th annual fantasy football draft for 12 of us, part or all party.

(Yes, in the late 80s we competed in many intramural sports and Kaleidoquiz as 'The Flying Carp').

What's the best way to buy a block of tickets to the ISU v UNI game? I'm seeking 16 tickets, together. I see them on Ticketmaster, with their fees, and will get online Wednesday at 9a to try and give my money directly to the ISU Athletic Department.

Any other ideas or advice?
