Former ISU assistant fired as head coach

Tom Herman has been canned as head coach at FAU. His team is 2-8 and O-6 in the conference. In his two years there, he had a 6-16, 3-11 record. I don't think it helped that he blew up at Alex Golesh after his team lost to Golesh's South Florida team. Golesh purposely tried to run the score up because Herman did the same the year before, actually kicking an onside kick late in the fourth quarter with his team up big in a 56-14 thrashing. Golesh won this year 44-21 and went for two on their last score, but failed to make it. Golesh did a blow by handshake with Herman after the game and Herman followed him yelling at him. His wife had to come grab him to stop him from going back for more. So Herman can dish it out, but can't take it.

1. Am I seeing things or is Milan's release much quicker than last year? He took and made a corner three ((SW corner) that came over the edge of the backboard that made me think Matt Thomas came back for a game. Also it seems he is much more determined on defense & to get rebounds.
2. Tamin has had some uncharacteristic turnovers. Not concerned on this one,...just an observation.
3. Dishon Jackson can definitely finish.
4. Demarion is one of my underdog faves and is getting sparse minutes but he did make a helluva hustle play that lead to a three last night. Really pulling for him.
5. They had a stretch last night of really, really good play. Impressive.
6. KC is a decent team. I can see them challenging for the Summit League title. #5 for them can play.
7. Joshua Jefferson seems to be still trying to find his role. Chatfield? Hmmm.
