Two new Juco recruits?

Bill, it appears per X that we have recently expressed interest in one Juco DL and one Juco OL.

The DL is Joe Hjelle from Iowa Western/Decorah. Thinking he would be a walkon as his tweet said "opportunity to play" rather than offer.

The other is Seth Wilfred out if Snow CC. His tweet says offer but not sure if schollie or walk on

Hadn't seen anything posted on here. Heard anything about these two, Bill?

Thoughts from the weekend

1. Averaging about 15 1/2 inches (after sacks) per attempt is obviously horrible. I wonder if Hufford regrets calling out Texas?
2. Texas is simply better than ISU this year
3. Texas fans are especially annoying and insist on you sharing in their annoyance
4. Rocco really locked on his receiver causing that interception. Rocco is also pretty damn good. Imagine what he could do with a rushing attack that is consistently good for 150 yds.
5. I'm sure the 2023 tailgate weather season ended the year as #1. No rain, no 11 am games, no crazy winds, no dangerously hot days, not body numbing cold days...perfect
6. The exiting from C5 is incredibly bad. It took me an hour to get from C5 to University Blvd. I get that only one exit allows for additional parking space and the need for less manpower getting in....but GD that was annoying.
7. How hard the basketball team played on Sunday was crazy impressive.
8. It was nice to get a peek at Omaha's talent.
9. They aren't anywhere near Big 12 talent, but Grambling had length and was obviously well coached. They will be a factor in the SWAC

FOOTBALL ***RELEASE: Terukina Named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week***

Iowa State Media Relations

IRVING, Texas – Kysen Terukina has been named the Big 12 Wrestler of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. It marks Terukina's first career weekly honor from the conference.

Terukina made a statement to open Iowa State's 42-0 shutout of No. 18 Wisconsin. The Cyclone 125-pounder won by major decision, 14-3, against No. 5 Eric Barnett.

The pair met last season with Terukina prevailing over Barnett, 9-7, in sudden victory. The Ewa Beach, Hawaii native announced his return from last year's season-ending shoulder inj
ury and separated himself in the rematch with a four-takedown performance Sunday.

Terukina improved to 4-2 against top-10 foes and 3-1 against top-5 opponents in the last three seasons with the win.

Iowa State is back in action Sunday when it hosts in-state rival Iowa in the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series. The dual is set for a 2 p.m. start time on ESPN.
