UNI 2024 Football Schedule released

UNI just released their 2024 football schedule. Lot of interesting things in this.

1. Only 4 home games (so far). 11 scheduled (so far). Looks like they are still working on a pre-season slappy, but they don't have it yet. They actually could add 2 more because they are playing at Hawaii.
2. I don't think Nebraska is the toughest game on their schedule.
3. They have the murderers row of FCS scheduling.
4. Roadie at St. Thomas? That is like us going to Arkansas State. (which we will be)

Some thoughts on recruiting class

One thing I am ecstatic about is they definitely improved the speed in the WR room with two guys who have run 10.7 in the 100 meters and they're not short little slot backs either.

On paper, it looks like a good class for OLs, but then I've heard that said before with mixed results.

On the other hand, not a very good class for DLs, which was an area of need, especially in the interior to refresh the pipeline.

It's also a deep class for the defensive backfield, although I'm not certain about the skill level there. Van Dinter appears to be a good one and Khijohnn Cummings-Coleman could be the second coming of TJ Tampa. But other than that, I'm not certain.

I think the gem of the class is probably the lone RB, Lee. Lee broke the state single-game record for Arizona's class 6A by rushing for 518 yards on only 24 carries.

One thing we did manage to snag overall is speed. At nearly every position, there is someone who ran the 100 meters in high school either in the low 11s or high 10s. We even have a TE (Cooper) who ran the 200 meters in high school.

LB is another area I'm not certain about. Brezina seems like a good one, but the other two (the official release lists Inglis as a DB), I'm just not sure.
