I know this is the NFL, but there’s such a huge connection with our favorite son that it would almost seem like a Cyclone victory to me.

Was just looking at the ESPN Gamecast for tonight's game. We are currently 7.5 pt favorites.

But I noticed this:

Is there another team in CBB where one player leads in scoring, rebounding AND assists? I would wager either there is not, or maybe 1 or 2 others tops. But I would say there are probably none. That is really amazing.

Very strange over there, probably 25 of the top 30 or so articles on the basketball board are WBB comments. They have completely abandoned even talking about the Men's team. Truly sad.

This piece that I published back in mid-December has been updated to include all of the transfer portal additions to the program.

I assume, with the exception on January, the so far mild fall and winter has kept CyTown on or ahead of schedule. My problem is I am not clear what that schedule is.

Are the lots supposed to be graded and done by this fall?

When does construction on the Clinic start and when is it to be finished?

Is the other anchor business secured yet?

How does one find a definitive time schedule?

And, does the relative silence on this project bode problems?

Next year with 16 teams, are they looking at all 16 play day 1, or are they going to have some kinds of byes for the higher teams. Worse yet, are they going to pull a Big 10 and just tell the bottom feeders they can't even show up?

Probably the greatest improvement by a Cyclone MBB player, going from a stone-handed freshman to conference POY.

Getting this going tonight in anticipation of an early morning. Recruits can start sending in their signed LOIs at 7 a.m., so Iowa State could start getting them as early as 6 a.m. factoring in the eastern time zone. I’ll be posting all of the signings as they happen in the thread below. I’m expecting the Cyclones to announce a scholarship class of 23 (22 tradition & 1 transfer). CMC will then meet with the media tomorrow afternoon at 2:00.

COMMITMENT LIST

The Twister Sisters will face league leading Oklahoma at 6:00 pm on Saturday. Oklahoma is 10-1 and a game ahead of Kansas State and West Virginia. Texas is two games back followed by Iowa State alone in 5th, three games back. A win will tighten up the race and give the Cyclones a shot at a double bye in the conference tournament.

There are seven games remaining among those top five contenders. Iowa State plays in four of those games. That means two things. First, the Cyclones have the most challenging schedule remaining, at least among these matchups among contenders. Second, it gives ISU a great opportunity to move up and contend for a championship.

If you are coming to the men's game Saturday, think about sticking around for the women's game. They can use all the help they can get. Tickets are generally cheap and almost certainly will be available at the ticket window.
