I'm headed to Kansas City soon for a quick overnight before our women's game Saturday morning. Anyone else going?

Does anyone know if there's a game watch for the men's game somewhere in the Power & Light? We may stick around for that before heading back to Ames.

Next week, we will be headed down again for the men's game. Unfortunately I cancelled the reservations I had earlier and could only get a room for one night near the P&L and tickets for our first game. I'll play the rest by ear.

The other is a Hawkeye.

The bet: ISU men or U of I women go further in the NCAAs.

They have a 20-10 overall record, but a 6-12 Conference record. So they've lost two more games in conference than they've lost overall. I don't think I've ever seen that before. And before someone chimes in, yes, I know that's because they forfeited two conference games that count against their conference record but not against their overall record. Still unusual and would make you do a double take if you didn't know the circumstances.

The Harvard Harris poll this week asked the question if Trump was convicted in any of three cases, Trump will still win. Here are the predicted results by conviction:

DC Case conviction, Trump is +8.
Georgia case conviction, Trump is +4.
Classified documents conviction, +0.

This means Trump will win the electoral college, no matter what happens with convictions. California gives Brandon a natural 5+ points in the poll, so when the poll is showing and even up race, that means Brandon will lose most if not all swing states. So why are people sticking with Trump? Because anyone that can clearly think knows that ALL of these cases are completely political in nature. Heck, we all know that all of these cases are being coordinated by the white house. Convictions will make Trump a stronger candidate.

So this means that the dems are down to one of two options, find a replacement for Brandon, or the 2nd option we don't want to think of. There is NOTHING that the democratic party will not do.

Raef La Frentz is an assistant coach on the 3A Decorah team and has son who’s a 6’10” sophomore center. They lost their semifinal to Davenport Assumption, team of the Navon Shabaz kid, who came on in the end.

Clay Edwards is the head coach of 1A Winnfield Mount Union and has three sons on the team (they lost to my hometown North Linn in the semis yesterday) - Jake, Abram and Max. I thought they said one of them had committed to Iowa, but they may have been talking about another guy and football. I couldn’t find them in the recruiting database.

If we tie with Houston for 1st place in the Big 12, would we still play the late game on Thursday, or TBD? I already got tickets for the late game and am wondering if I should have waited. I know it would be a good problem to have.

So hard to calm down and actually sleep after a game like that. Got home around 11, finally turned the lights off at midnight. Must have woken up 3-4 times. What a ride.
