I finally got on the seat selection website, just to see what was available. I have two pairs of tickets. I use one pair and sell the other pair, usually to people at work. The second pair of seats is on the opposite side of the stadium, but they are aisle seats. I like the seats I sit in so wasn't highly motivated to get on the website, but I thought I'd check and see if I could move my other seats, maybe next to where I sit.
I was shocked that in the section where my extra seats are there were only single seats available, and the same story held true in the next section over and in the similar sections on the opposite side of the field. I guess everybody that that donor level has had a week to deal with changes and that may explain why there was nothing available. But still it was shocking to see. It really starts to make one appreciate the challenge the ticket office has in dealing with new donors or those that upgrade looking for improved seating.
I spent some time and looked around the entire stadium. The lower level is looking pretty full. The upper level had some blocks of seats, mostly in the corners, but I guess that is to be expected. If a guy was ambitious, he could probably count how many seats remain available in the stadium. It wouldn't give an exact number of season ticket sales, because the visitor and student sections are reserved, but it would give a pretty good indication. This is a pretty neat process. I obviously ended up logging out without making any changes, but it was cool to see. I wish they would have a means to check availability without starting the upgrade process, as I fear a mis-click and I give up my seats. For that matter, there was no CANCEL button. All I could tell was that you exit the system without making a change to cancel the upgrade process.
