For those who haven't been to Ames since the last BB game, the intramural fields east of the stadium have been getting a huge makeover. Looks more like the Highway 30 project east of Tama, with all the dirt being moved and the heavy equipment brought in to do it.
There's now a huge hole in the ground at the corner of S 16th and University, large enough to bury the stadium in...or at least large enough to bury 100 years of ISU football frustration.
What's the hole for? Surely they're not putting a water catch basin/pond in that corner, are they?
