I was just talking to a Hawkeye fan co-worker. He's a smart guy but an insufferable sports fan (he's also a Yankee and Laker fan to give you an idea of what we're dealing with). He basically said that Iowa State can't find a good coach and they need to resort to a gimmick blah, blah, blah. I responded by saying that if it can happen in Iowa City it can happen in Ames because the differences between the 2 situations is minimal. Of course he thinks that's the craziest thing anyone's ever said. Then... he follows up with "Iowa State definitely needs to find a coach that actually cares about winning conference games and not just beating the Hawkeyes" At this point I had to walk away.
Sorry that was a pointless story but he got me a little worked up and I had to vent to some fellow Cyclone loyalists.
