we should be able to consistently move the chains. What I saw on Saturday was a QB locked in on a single receiver. I saw predictable play calling (run on first down for a yard, throw on second down to Lazard, drop back and scramble on third down. After re watching most of the game, it amazed me at how little our receivers ran routes that would allow separation from the defender. Very few crossing patterns, clearing a zone, dragging a tight end, etc. the defense for most of the day covered receivers running in a straight line with a few exceptions. What's the point of running four receiver sets if not to make the defense have to chase receivers and create match up problems?
