Always love reminiscing about that game this time of the year. Breaking the streak in such shocking (though in retrospect not so surprising) 1998 victory which was satisfying beyond words. Though the hawks ended up pretty much sucking that year, and after we lost to a 1-10 TCU team the prior week (though they turned out to be pretty decent actually), I, like most, was personally resigned to another blowout that game. Never more happy to be wrong.

I was personally at a friends' house in the Twin Cities, of whom we were dorm mates back in the day. Got off to the half time lead. Called another ISU buddy at half time, who was a bit disposed that Saturday, and let him know of our half time lead, much to his shock, and he got his rear end over to join us at the half. My buddies cautioned me as to how easily we could have still lost the game, but by half time, I just knew we were not going to blow it. God bless Darren Davis.

So let's hear some memories of the glorious day.
