So in the last few seconds of the game Iowa allows Shayok to score realizing they had the game won and just let the clock run out. Iowa inbounds to McCaffrey with a 3-4 seconds on the clock and Shayok is slapping at the ball trying to knock it out of his hands. Had Prohm told the team at that point to back off? What in the world was Shayok thinking there? Even Jacobson slapped at the ball when the referee was trying to stop Shayok. It was bush league and looked bad for ISU. Not making excuses for Iowa’s players who acted badly but ISU ends up looking bad just because of how the game ended. They out played us in all phases of the game including being tougher.
