1. The running backs hurt us early in the poor pass blocking or missing blocks. They hurt us in second half with really bad runs. At least 3 times there was a good gain to be had and back made bad read and bad run.
2. Problem at one backer spot still not solved. Harvey is doing okay but is still young. Seeley is still not playing well at all. He was in on one series where Beathard ran for big yards and he was backer that side. Seeley also was unblocked in the hole on previous 10 yard run by canzeri. Seonbrunner was in on the other big run by beathard.
3. Lazard drop hurt at the end of the game. Didn't make the tough catch on the long thrown. Richardson made the wrong read there though. Had receiver up the seem on double move behind safety.
4. Sam was demoralized at end if gsme. He needs a couple of breaks during the game. Bring Lanning in a series or two to give him a break.
5. Didn't like the punt at midfield. Not because of how it went after but because of the message it sends. Put people away. Don't play to hold on. Said that before the punt.
6. Harris, jones, pierson and tucker are very good players.
7. Coaching. Didn't like the punt at midfield. Hate the three man rush on 3rd and 21. Only way beathard could make plays was by giving him all day. Didn't like the way we played the bootleg. No secondary rush from backer on beathard. Too easy. Didn't hurt isu until late.
Overall... defense played well. Offense needs tweaks to get the most out of this team. Too much blame on richardson even though he missed some reads late.
