Looks like we picked a bad year to play UNI. They averaged 33 points a game last year and were the top offense in the Missouri Valley behind QB Theo Day, who Farley calls the best QB in the state. He passed for over 3,000 yards and 26 TDs last year, completing passes at a 65 percent clip. He scored 4 more TDs on the ground, but he's not what you would consider a runner, gaining 70 yards on 60 carries for the year. He's a big QB at 6-5, 230-plus, so he can probably get the tough yard for them when it's needed. They lost some OL to graduation, but when's the last time UNI had a poor OL?

Their defense is what let them down last year, leading to a 6-5 record, but they are expecting a resurgence in the D this year, starting with their D-line, where they brought in a bunch of size, something they lacked last year. UNI is normally among the top defensive teams in the MVC, so last year was a bit of an anomaly for them. But they think this is the year when it all comes together with offense and defense both being exceptional. Not looking forward to that game at all.
