He says the fight is here and it's where he should be. That is true leadership. There are not many in the US willing to put country ahead of their personal wealth, let alone their lives. This goes for both parties. Another reason I like to veterans running for office, they have had some skin in the game and risked it all for us and the country.
You always have the exception like John Kerrey, who is most interested if the Ukraine invasion will derail his climate talks with Russia, because climate change is the biggest threat the world faces right now. The war just causes so much pollution. The Ukrainian President might have a slightly different view.
