Tonight's game will be the first time I've attended a Cyclone game vs. Arizona since the December 2, 1971 inaugural game in Hilton Coliseum. I remember the excitement I felt entering Hilton for the very first time.
Back then our roster included Gene Mack, Rick Engel, Clint Harris, Wayne Williams Tom O'Conner, Mike Capobianco, Martinez Denmon and our very own Eric Heft. ISU prevailed that night, 71-54.
One particular memory I have was the the PA announcer asking the crowd to remain still while photos were taken during the pre-game.
