He only wants $2,000 for it, but it has a blown engine. Replacing the engine could cost as much as $7,000 or more for just a new modern stock 8 cylinder engine and the labor on that could be as much as $1,800. The car looks pristine on the outside and interior. Just weighing whether it would be worth it to stick almost 11K in a car like that. Wonder what I could sell it for if I did all that. I'm just afraid there would be a lot more wrong with it -- transmission, brakes, cooling system, etc. But I have kind of been half-heartedly looking for a vintage car.
