McKeesport (Pa.) linebacker Tymar Sutton had actually been committed to Iowa State since his official visit in mid-December. He wanted to wait to announce it and did so on Christmas morning. Sutton had told us on the Sunday night of his visit weekend that he was talking it over with his mom and she wanted him to take at least one more visit, and that may have been true. We titled that story "Sutton on the verge" because it was apparent that if he wasn't already committed, he soon would be.
